Today I ventured to an access on the nearby Clark Fork. This river can sometimes be overlooked, because of the other world-famous bodies of water close to Missoula. I fished a section just above town, an area of the river I really like. I found a small side channel where some nice rainbows were caught, plus some whitefish. It was an awesome afternoon to be out, 85 degrees and sunny, and wading and casting in the cool water reminded me why I love Montana so much.
The Clark Fork
Couple of Decent Rainbows
Even Found a Big Ol’ Crawfish
Tomorrow I’ll be headed to the lower Clark Fork to do a morning float with the boys from Montana Wild. Should be a good time!
